Operation Christmas Child

Christian Community Credit Union's staff participated in Operation Christmas Child, a program that brings joy, hope and God's love to boys and girls around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas — Jesus Christ. In all, the staff from both Covina and San Dimas Branches donated 147 shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies, hygiene items, clothing and more. The Operation Christmas Child campaign happened in November 12-16, 2007. "I'd heard about Operation Christmas Child for years and this time I wanted to get personally involved," said Marji Petsch, Christian Community Credit Union's This was the first time for the staff of Christian Community Credit Union to join Operation Christmas Child. In previous years, the staff conducted a Christmas toy drive for local rescue mission organizations and social service centers.
