Christian Community Credit Union Donates $5,000 to American Baptist Seminary of the West’s Endowment
John T. Walling, Christian Community Credit Union President/CEO presents a check for $5,000 to Dr. Keith Russell, ABSW President. The donation is seed money for the seminary’s endowment prize named in Dr. Russell’s honor.
Christian Community Credit Union recently donated $5,000 to American Baptist Seminary of the West’s (ABSW) Keith Russell Award, an endowment prize given annually at commencement to a Doctor of Ministry student who demonstrates excellence in the area of prophetic leadership.
“We are very appreciative to Christian Community Credit Union for the unexpected and generous gift made in honor of Dr. Keith A. Russell’s tenure as president of ABSW. This gift, which will seed an endowed student prize, will allow ABSW to keep strong Dr. Russell’s passion and legacy of training men and women for prophetic leadership,” says Rev. Michelle Holmes, ABSW Vice President.
The amount came from a portion of the Credit Union’s missions donation program based on Credit Union members actively using a financial product that generates donations for missions and ministry projects.
“Our Credit Union’s vision is to make a positive difference in people’s lives,” says John T. Walling, Christian Community Credit Union President/CEO. “With ABSW’s commitment to equip those preparing to do Kingdom-building work, we are pleased to partner with them in developing servant-leaders who are making a significant and relevant impact in our culture and society.”
